"When I arrived in Finland, I was totally unable to use a sewing machine, because textile teaching doesn't exist in France. All the French grandmothers know how to use it, a few mothers know how to use it, but I don't know any young French girls who know and use the sewing machine. I think it's a pity because sewing is really useful in everyday-life and it's also very pleasant to know how to make clothes. Well, now I have sewn for about 3 months and I've made a dancedress and I'm actually making another dress. Six months ago, I couldn't think that I would be able to do it. "
